I dont know if this is normal, the tranny, converter, cooler etc. is all new and has about 500 miles on it now. Normal driving it locks up at 50 ish, which i know is about normal. But when I give it 1/4 maybe 1/3 throttle to get to speed it seems like the converter will lock up around 40 ish and if i keep trying to accelrate it will unlock until i get to 50 then lock back up. Does anybody know why it does this, and is it a problem? The tranny etc. is quiet as a mouse at idle, not clattering or anything.

Yea, its been tuned. The more I think about it, its not the converter locking up, its downshifting.
