Default Converter question - effects of vehicle weight + torque

I'm trying to figure out how loose a 4000-4400rpm stall converter(~2.5str) would feel with ~450-500rwtq in a 4500lb vehicle.(in relation to a Y3200 or ST3800 in a stock fbody)

I've had a Y3200 and a ST3800 in the past so those are the only converters I can relate to as far as looseness goes.

It should feel alot tighter than a ST3800 feels in a ~3400lb stock car since the extra torque and weight will make it stall higher, right?

If I decide to go ahead and do this you better beware of any trucks that rev on you at a light.

Thanks

The increased engine torque will make the converter stall more and make it feel a little looser as will the added weight of the vehicle.

Hi Patrick

Maybe I'm <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Say I took a Y3200 designed for a stock engined fbody and put it behind the combo I'm talking about.(450+rwtq, 4500lb) Wouldn't it still feel similiar to a Y3200 under light throttle conditions? At WOT throttle it should stall quite a bit higher than 3200 though.

I don't think it was very clear what I was asking in the first post. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

Thanks

PS - What car converter would you compare your TT3000 to as far as how loose it feels.
