TCI 378000 Deep Pan Install
TCI 378000 Deep Pan Install I just got done installing my new TCI pan, and I must say that it's a really nice piece. It's huge compared to the stock pan though, and now it's about even with my headers as far as ground clearance.
It's very well made, and you definitely feel that you're getting your money's worth.
I also installed the deeper truck filter along with the pan. For those of you who plan to do this in the future, cut the little nibs in the pan down 3/8th's of an inch with a cut-off wheel or dremel. I measured the differences in the filters, and that's what it came out to, and the filter fit great. Took just three minutes with the cut-off wheel.
Make sure that you get out all the aluminum shavings.
As far as driving it around with the new pan, I took it out and got it hot as I could in stop-and-go traffic, and the combination of the pan and my 24k cooler didn't let the temps get above 150, and this is a fairly warm day today.
All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this pan to anyone who is looking for a deep pan. I also thank Speed Inc for having the best price on this pan. Excellent price and prompt shipping.

I was also looking at this on the TCI site.. I am comparing it to the GTO pan and filter. It holds 1.5 quarts more fluid than stock and 1/2 the price. GM Part#s 24229658 & 24208576 for those care...
i got the same setup..deeppan and 24k cooler..and with my baby 3200 on a 80 degree day here in stop-and-go all i seen was 150 too....love it..but my car is lowered and i must say its kinda close to the ground... thats the only down fall that i see..
