Transgo Guys - 1, 2, or 3 washers?
Transgo Guys - 1, 2, or 3 washers? I was just wondering if you guys with Transgo Shift Kits could give me your input/experiences on your 1, 2 or 3 washer kits. Obviously, the 3 washer will provide the best performance and the worst drivability, and the 1 washer the least performance and best drivability (of the 3)...but I am wondering if any of you that have gone with a 3 washer have eventually taken one out and been happy with it and vice versa....The kit will be going in my '01 with a vig 3200.....also the car is my daily driver but does not see a ton of miles....

Re: Transgo Guys - 1, 2, or 3 washers? I'm running a ST-3800 which is fairly loose so three washers works great. I installed the kit before the converter so I put about 100 miles on the car with just the kit and three washers was a little harsh at WOT but otherwise liveable.

Re: Transgo Guys - 1, 2, or 3 washers? I have the 3 washers with my Vig 2800 and the shifts are perfect. Precise but never violent is the best way to describe it. 3 washers would be too much on a stock verter but its been fine for me.

Re: Transgo Guys - 1, 2, or 3 washers? i've got 2 on mine with the PI3200. i love the crisp shifts. i'll probably try 3 for fun afer the spawn of satan (TM) is deleted from the car. either way, you'll love getting rid of those sluggish shifts. good luck

Re: Transgo Guys - 1, 2, or 3 washers? I ran two washers with my Vig 3200, and it was perfect for me. Now that I have the PT4400 in, I'd definitely like to have three washers. It's pretty soggy.

3 here... I slight kick on the 1-2 mildly pulling away from a light is always the reminder that your not driving a BUICK... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Because I so used to it the stock 02 feels like MUD... Gotta get that 'fixed' soon.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
