2-3 upshift noise?

2-3 upshift noise? My sons 02 z28 with 23K miles just started making a noise on the 2-3 upshift. He said it started doing it after some "aggressive driving". The noise is hard to describe but it sounds like a "whoop" or "woosh". The shift doesnt feel different. Does anyone have an idea of what this could be?

I wouldnt know then. when i first bought my car i thought it sounded funny shifting under WOT because my friends 96 didnt sound that way, but i drove another ls1 and found out it was normal. sorry!
