Is this bad for the A4 transmission?

Sounds right to me. This guy sounds like he is one of the people who actually designs the transmissions at GM, not just some guy from an aftermarket company that thinks they know everything just because they rebuild them

i'm a gm tech and i do transmissions. that is complete bull ****. the trans is designed to downshift.............. od this and double clutch that..........hahaha do what ya want i guess

He also agreed it could be upgraded but was not comfortable with the reliability of any 4L60E over 520rwtq. He says the 200R4 can be built to 600rwtq, and after that it is built 4L80E or TH400 territory.

Why would they put four gears their if they weren't meant to be used?

I've used mine for 40,000 miles and have gotten better times with them then the car would with just D.

I figure if I break the tranny then its just time to upgrade to the TH400.
