Default Raising the stall of my converter?

ok, i was planning on doing a converter/gear swap, but that turned out to be too costly, so, I was thinking of taking that money and buying power mods, which I would hope to also help raise my stall at the same time. If I am not mistaken, I would need to add torque at 4K, to raise the stall, correct?
Just curious as to how "concrete" of a theory this is? Or am I just fooling myself?

has anyone tried and gotten anywhere with this concept?

thanks in advance for any help

Increasing torque will increase your stall a bit.

I gained 100 rpm on the shift extension when I added headers & ORP.
