2800 converter
What do you guys think of a 2800 Vigilante stall converter with either 3.15s or 3.42s on a basically stock vette (Blackwing, no cats)
My brother has a 99 that is a true daily driver, but he wants a little more punch (to beat his bosses 2004 C5) while not affecting the drivability of the car.
I have a SY3500, and it would be too much for me personally for a DD, but I would think the 2800 might be ok
Thoughts??

Well you would get alot of replys in the A4 forum.
To answer the question the vig 2800 will be VERY close to your ssf3500. the 2800 is like a 3400 stall. All Vig converters are like this..The 3400 is like a 3800. I have a SSF3500 and its great for a DD IMO

The Vig 2800 would be a decent add on for his Vette. However, I would recommend the Vig 3200. It drives very much like stock and will give him alot more of a performance increase without sacrificing his driveability. Do a search on Vig 3200 and see for yourself.
