Default bypassing Park/nuetral switch

I just got done converting my car to an automatic t56 - 4l60e. im ready to start it, only problem is i cant get the starter solonoid power. i removed all the manual trans wires and plugged in an auto harness. I am using a hurst quater stick so i do not have the stock shifters P/N switch. I ran the PCM wire for that switch straight to ground so i should be able to start it.. but still have nothing. Is there anyone that has been down this road and can tell me a good way to bypass. i was thinking about a 12v push button.. but i hate having more wires and switches that i dont need if possible. I flashed the car for an auto as well.

Not sure this would matter since you've reflashed to an automatic tune but your clutch setup would have had a switch on it to keep you from starting unless depressed. Could that be causing a problem even though it's no longer being used?

I just finished a M6 to A3 swap and that switch will keep my car from starting. Is it possible that you do not have the contacts made by not having the switch down far enough? Take a piece of wire and stick it in the end of the the wire harness and loop it to the other side. Are you sure you have the right wires?

I finished an A4 to M6 swap today. On my old A4 shifter were two wires, one green/white and one purple. I had to run these down to that switch under the clutch pedal. It works fine. Hope this helps. From what I've seen all GM neutral safety wires are one green and one purple.
