Str? I just bought a Yank ST3500 with a 2.5 STR. My question is, what is the STR going to affect during driving? I know that it will "hit" harder, but what are pros and cons to higher and lower STR's? This is mainly a street car with some track passes when I have time. Is this going to be a bitch to drive on the street? I plan on getting Nitto DR's for the rear and running them all the time in the hopes that it will help some. I am just trying to understand the reality behind TC's. I have read the info sections on them, but I want layman terms.
The higher STR (designed to work in the lower RPM range) will keep the revs down a bit during normal driving.
A lower STR has effectively less torque multiplication therefore your engine needs to do more of the work, and you will run higher RPM's around town.

If you keep your foot out of it and try to drive more when locked up (38+) you can save some gas by keeping the revs down.
