Replace all clutches with Raybestos Blue racing clutches
Install Raybestos Hi Static low/rev
Install Hi energy band
Replace all steels with Kolene Steels
Replace all bushings
Replace all seals and gaskets
Replace Sun gear shell with HD harden drum shell
Replace stator with 4340 steel shaft
Install Billet servo
Install HD low roller sprag
Install HD Mechanical Diode sprag 3-4 v/s roller clutch
Mill both pump halves flat.
Replace pump rings with billet rings
Replace pump vanes with harden kolene vanes
Install Hi psi regulator valve
Machine case and convert from electronic line to modulated
Set all internal clearances to min specs.
Recalibrate VB for positive shifts.

This is what's done to mine. I paid about $1600 for it from Tom Izzo at Speed Inc. I am not making 500hp though...

A4 won't live behind 500rwhp for long.

Thanks RPM, at least I know what to ask for now...so hows the tranny? I don't make 500HP yet...lol but I just rather have something that can take that much HP. I was looking at the Yank tranny, but I don't have 2 gs for it. I will be in the low 400's or mids after the heads and LS6 intake...so I want to prepare the tranny ready for it, since right now I can't even get a good ET 1-2 slipping and 2-3 slipping at WOT. Thanks again RPM WS6...now heading to the tranny shop...

I’ve only had the tranny in the car for about a total of 200 miles, so I can’t speak on how well it’s going to hold up long term yet. I have a SY3500 converter as well. So far everything is great though, I thought I was having a downshifting issues, but I think it was just my PCM re-learning because I’d taken it out for some tuning changes. Since I’ve put more miles on the PCM after re-install the trans is working great now. I think running overly rich was causing slow downshifts (as PSJ told me ), now that my A/F is back in line all seems well.

So basically, the shortened version is, I’m very happy with the tranny and it’s working great. I have not dyno’ed with the cam/exhaust yet, but I’d guess I’m making about 340 to 350rwhp right now. One of my club cars will be running this tranny in about two more weeks, and he will be above 500hp by that point. Tom has said that he will be making the most power of any car to run the tranny so far, so we’ll see how it holds...

PSJ you run low 11s... hardly putting a hurting on a 4L60E.

Just got back from the tranny shop, I am looking at 1200-1400, but not sure yet, since they have to check it out and he is backed up a bit, so I will be waiting for a call. RPM WS6 I dynoed at 352 hp and 356 ftq with the T1 and Mac headers and 3" cut out, 3:73, vig 2800, free mods, ported maf, before the headers and cam I dynoed at 308 hp and 314 ftq....since then I got my TB ported...so I need to dyno it again to see how much I get from the TB. But it will have to wait until I get the tranny fixed.....I know its going to be a big difference since I have been having problems with the tranny for a while an still manage a 12.8 with out the cam, headers, and the ported TB.....we'll see .....there goes the money I was saving for the LS6 intake and crankpulley...

Its really best to put a TH400 in when you are making that kind of HP, the car is still fun to drive on the street with it...I am going to be making around 475rwhp with the TNT kit hopefully, and I know its going to be over 600rwtq...

TQ sucked too.

Now we make a lot more power.

Point I am making is that I have a lot of torque in my setup. I also roll around on 28" tall MH Racemasters all the time.

I have an ARE 422ci iron block, and I make 450rwhp unlocked and 502rwtq.

I have an FLP level IV.

I also have a 4000 stall and a 4.10 gear. My tranny is doing very very well given how much power the motor makes.

I drive my car 100 miles a week.
