Default Is this a solenoid problem???? Help!!!!

When I leave my car in regular overdrive and take off it shifts fine 1st and 2nd gear and when it shifts into 3rd and 4th gear it slips real bad. Then, if I suddenly make a stop and manually shift the car 1st -4th gear it will shift fine and will not slip. Could this be a solenoid problem or is the transmission is about to become toast?

But you still have all your gears then? It's hard to say what exactly it is but it could be anything from solenoid probs (maybe) to sticking valves..

Hopefully someone else can chime in with some good info for you.
