Transmission crossmember What's the difference between the transmission crossmember for the 93-02 A4 and the M6? This is removable correct? Need details on it and can they be removed.
Don't know the exact differences between the two, but yeah they can be removed. 4 bolts holds in my 6 speed style crossmember, I figure 4 bolts holds in the A4 one as well
When removing the crossmember, I always have something supporting the tranny, so that the engine doesn't have to hold all the weight of the tranny on it's own. I normally get a big piece of wood and place it under the tranny pan, and hold it up with a jack...I don't jack it up much, just enough to keep it's "natural" spot
