hughes converter ??????????
hughes converter ?????????? alright heres the story i have been a m-6 guy for the last two years. i sold that car and bought a 1993 lowered z28 a4. i am new to this so heres my question. The car came with a 3000 hughes tc it was in the car when the trans went out last time. the trans burnt out the clutches because the basket broke. Can i get this converter rebuilt or is there any way to clean it ???????????? the car has a 1100 stall which if i have heard correcty is smaller than stock which sucks !!!!!!

i have a trans guy up here but i was wondering if there is any way i could do it my self i am trying to save money for a cam swap. the converter is still good it just needs to be cleaned anyone have any ideas or know of ways to do this ??

i would recomend to actually have it rebuilt and the stall changed ( that would be what i would do) but if you want to save money , you could do what is called a cut and cleaned. its exactly what it sounds like, they cut it open clean it out inspect it and weld it back together.
