I just recently had my transmission rebuilt and I had the guy put a 2800 stall converter in it. after about 8000 miles the converter burned up. I am not sure if he up graded the pump or not. Could the be my problem? What is the stock pump in the 4l60? Seven vein?

 

What year is your car? Who's tc are you using? Need more info please.

 

The it is a 96 ta and i am not sure about the tc. When i had the transmission rebuilt the guy took my stock convertor and sent it off and and 2800 was sent back to me. It was not a rebuild of mine but a new one.
