I don't really know either of those. It shifts hard, but I don't know which level that is. I probably should have asked. I don't know about the vaccum modulation either.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about trannys to say anything more intelligent than "I like it."

We sell a SSF transmission that's rated at 650 hp. Our part number 371150 will handle your hp range...no problem.

Fman, what about the POS Fastech tranny you said you had built? Oh I forgot, that magically didnt happen once you got called on it. Quit lyin' and hatin'....when YOU get into the 9s with your tranny...call me.

Steve2001sh, several of the sponsors build good trannies. RockOn is just one. Before I would go with Maddog, I would try one of the other sponsors if you cant afford the Rockon. The sponsors wouldnt be able to afford to be on here if they sold junk.

cabel boy aka rock on pimp. your just like your brother dave don't read very well. i didn't forget anything the fastech deal was a result of your boy not being able to fix his product. your BS about tuning was trash as well. when you learn how to stick to the facts & stop thinking you know it all give me a call

whats the problem? you can't go 9's on daves 4L60?

Ok, this is great and all, but I already bought the MadDog, as I said several posts back. This thread can die now.

Thanks again to everyone who gave actual advice.

The best deal that I know of currently is our transmission/converter package. Summit advertises the TCI SSF 4L60E with our 3500 converter. It also includes a new locking dipstick, a transmission cooler and 3 gals of TCI Maxshift fluid. For 3K you get everything. The part number is 371150P1. You might also check with some of the other board sponsors, such as Texas Speed and Performance.
