Default Help! Need to figure out the stall speed?!?

I just installed a Vigilante converter last night. It was assumed to be a 2800, but feels a lot higher. I bought it used, and the guy who sold it to me wasn't really sure what stall it was...
What's a good way to tell?

thanx!

The only accurate way to test stall is with a trans brake. You can test flash stall by bringing your car to a stop, then mashing the gas. Watch the tach and see what rpms the the tach goes to initially. Its best not to get too much spin otherwise the accuracy won't be there.

A Vig 2800 is actually more like 3200.
