Stock Torque conv. part number??

Hey guys,

Im looking at replacing my girlfriends stock torque converter, hers is locking and unlocking whenever it wants too.. How can I findout what the part number for her v6 is? and is it the same torque converter as in a v8..They both are 4L60E transmissions??

anybody? I need to know if the TC is the same in a V6 tranny automatic as a Ls1 auto tranny

cant remember if they are the same converter for v8 and v6, but it may be cheaper to get an aftermarket one, one of those low stall converters that are just above stock seem pretty affordable...

i went to a auto parts store and compared the v8 to the v6..and it was a diff. part number.. one was 8 1/2 and the other is 10 or something..what does that mean..I cant find a stock converter for a v6 anywhere..what the hell??
