Default Installing 12-Bolt

Is it difficult to install a Moser 12-Bolt? Is there any grinding, welding, cutting involved? How much could it cost to get it installed? Any suggestions of places to get it installed?

Trial fit the TA to the diff housing. Some aftermarket TA's require some grinding of the mounting tabs, usually the upper tab. Use locktite on the TA mounting bolts. Some have had problems with bolts coming loose. Get a pair of 3" muffler clamps to mount the sway bar bushing brackets. The rest is in the instructions. Its not all that hard. You can do it.

Use RED loctite and lock washers where the TA attaches to the rear end.

I installed mine my self, here are some tips.

You will need to buy 2 3" U bolts (usually used on exhaust) to fit around the axle tubes so you can mount your sway bar. The bottom part of the sway bar mount needs to be wider to accept the 3" clamps. What I did was put them in a vise and "flatten" them until the holes lined up to the u bolt.

Tilt the swaybar up a little so that it will clear the T/A cover if you optioned for that.

Buy some rubber hose for your vent tube.

If you didn't send them your backing plates then you will need to get your wheel bearings pressed in. As Moser can not fully assemble them w/o your backing plates.

I would recommend spraying it with primer and painting it to prevent rust.

As mentioned, use RED loctie on the Torque arm bolts and axle/backing plate bolts. Also make sure to use lock nuts.

It is really easy to do yourself and saves you the ~$250-300 you would pay someone to do it. If you are having trouble just post up and we can help you out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
