real slow after trans installation

real slow after trans installation i just finished installing the transmission in my 95 z28 auto and its extremly slow in all forward gears but works great in reverse could it be beacuse i cut the exhaust off at the headers it feels like the truck lost 100 hp but if i give it 1/4 throttle in reverse it will sqeel the tires.

i used the old torque converter that came with the original transmission could this be causing it

i just finished installing the exhaust and it still really slow only what coud be causing this transmission or torque converter
could one of the electrical connection be causing this beacuse my speedo is not working either and the abs light is on to.
