Default Anyone have a 4L80E Trans

I don't want to lose my OD & I don't want to rebuild my 4L60E a ton of times. From all my searchs on this board. The 4L80E is supposed to be almost as beefy as the Turbo 400, But you still have OD. Will my Yank PT 4400 switch over to that trans & what all is involved in putting one in my car?

Your 4l60e converter won't work with the 4l80e. Search has recently started working better again. I just pulled up 528 results for "4l80e". There's tons of info about the swap. Happy reading!

Yeah just searched & got tons of info. I am looking at $6000 for a 4L80

$4500 for the 4L80E
$800 for converter
$200 for DS
$200 for BMR TQ Arm
$100 for Trans member
$400 to have it tuned
$300 for odds n ends!

But I wouldn't have to mess with the trans again, It should be as tough as a Turbo 400!
