Need help with 4l60e to th350/th400!!
Well I'm considering selling/trading my RockOn Stage 4 4l60e to a th350/400. I know you need a new a diffrent driveshaft, cross member, verter & flex plate. Is there anything else I'm forgetting? I'v heard there's diffrent options as far as getting OD for them. I'm really dont know mucg about th350/400!! So what are the diffrences between the 2 and which ones better. Also who's th350/400 would you guys recommend. Is there a significant performance gain or not? I just need some advise & help before I jump into this swap so any opinion & experiance would be greatly appreciated.........

had a little experience hope it helps!
My dad runs a tranny shop and the only trannys i can fully rebuild are 350's: "All day long!" I've been through a few 400's and let me tell you. About the same parts in a 400 but the moneys worth a good the main diff is harder parts. Bigger planetaries thicker material in their parts, less likely to go boom!. My friend has a 98 formula and we're in the same boat. I'm trying do decide myself on what to do. Dont kid me wrong i'd still want to go 350 myself not only because there are a few less parts but because like i said its the only one i can do myself. I have about three350's on the floor of my shop wait for a nice hame with slight shift kits and and about four more stockers. There's about 5, 400's but all stockers. Hope this helps you and if any new details arise please let me know as well for my buddys 98. Thanks!
