Trans Question

I have a 06 silverado with 5.3. Will installing a corvette servo mess with TM? I know this is not the truck site, but the folks over there don't seem to want to answer. Thank you.

what do you mean by TM.....the corvette servo only affects the 2-4 band it has alittle more surface area which allows more apply pressure for 2nd and 4th band which holds the sunshell

Torque management. I heard that if the pcm detects a hard shift it will lower the pressure which could waste other parts of the trans. I was told that installing a high performance servo would require torque management be removed. Just wondering if the gm vette servo would cause this to happen.

i dont think so it will just have more apply pressure it will not raise line pressure it will only do more with the pressure that is availble already

Well there are 2 servos, 2nd gear and 4th, and no neither will affect TM.

I'd recommend though that while in there, go with the Sonnax instead, it is supposed to have even more apply area than the Corvette. You can get them from FLT.
