Which str??
Which str?? Ok...I lost 3-4 in the 4l60e, so I am in the process of rebuilding it and I might as well put a stall in it. I have decided to put the 4000 stall in the Z.I plan on getting a cam something like a ms3 or so... Anyways, the big question is what str should I go with along with the 4000 fuddle? Help would bevery appreciated. P.S. it is a DD/weekekend strip. I don't want a violent shift, but not sloppy. HPE tuned my car and turnd the firmness upalready. Thanks
do a search on STR....the higher number will hit the tires harder off the line but lose effiency on the big end. It will also make it more streatable so to speak because it will require less throttle to tool around town then a lower STR number converter. Lower number will not hit the tires as hard but be more efficient on the high end and would generally feel a little looser. i have a Yank SS3600 2.5 STR and it beats the **** out of those poor stickey mickey's. You are doing the right thing going with the 4,000 tho. I wish i would have went 4,000 or hell even 4,400 to be honest.
well I was looking at the yank SS4000 and it comes with a 2.6 str and I was thinking like 2.2 or so. I want to be able to afford tires and not break loose with the g-force tires. I know the 4000 will probably do that for me, so i don't need any more torque. does anyone know if getting a 2.2str is possibl in the ss4000?
dude, get the Yank SS4000 with the 2.6str and be done with it. Thats the one i should have gotten. instead i got the SS3600 and regret it....while IT IS WICKED, i wish i would have went bigger. Do you realize i out 60foot anyone in this little cow town. It is amazing the difference.
