Question 2-3 WOT Bumping Rev Limiter

Bumping the rev limiter during the 2-3 wot shift on a built 4l60e what will this actually affect or tear up if it is done on a regular basis? The line press is about 190 psi and I have been working on getting the press up to about 230 but a buddy of mine just keeps beating the **** out of it and wont listen. He is a bit hardheaded.

It's going to burn the 3-4 clutch out. I've had the same problem and removed the 3-4 to find it with burnt spots in a short time. It needs to be corrected with something other than tuning.
I did a 4L60E with this problem and installed a new seperator plate with smaller holes for the 3rd feed and 2nd band release (they were drilled from stock causing the problem).
Also on several 700R4's (same exact clutch) I just reduced the 3-4 clutch clearance to solve this type of problem.

If you've done this several times the clutch is probably burnt already.
