Default Changing back to 2.73 gear from 3.73..Question

Yes i know this sounds stupid but I have my reasons...1. With an A4 TA gas mileage will increase a massive amount. 2. My 10 bolt rear end life will be longer. 3. Cannot afford a 12 bolt right now and i already have the 2.73 gear. Only question i need is for my torque converter. im running a fuddle 3400 stall is this going to be ok with the 2.73? or am i going to run into problems...i plan on dyno tuning the car immediatley after.

You can do it, but like jpr5690 said, you're gonna hate how your car feels after going from 3.73 to 2.73, especially with that cam. Unless you do >80% highway driving I really don't see your fuel economy improving much, as your stall will be much "looser" and require more pedal to get your car moving.

I will be doing about 80% highway driving back and forth from college come september (2 hour drive on the weekend) and this is only temporary until i get a 12bolt with a 3.42 gear.
