4L60E Troubles
What a surprise, I think my tranny is on it's way out. When I shift into gear, it does so violently. It doesn't matter if it's from park to drive or to reverse- it's violent. It's like it was wound up to about 3000 rpm and then shifted into gear. The car seems to drive fine and the fluid levels are ok. I'm hoping it is something minor(although it seldom is). I actually got a code when I A-tap'd- Po748 Pressure control Solenoid circuit Electrical. Does anyone know if this means the tranny is shot or if this solenoid can be replaced and have things be back to normal? Any insight would be greatly appreciated
Mine did this <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> .If you replace the noid VERY soon (like now ) it shoud ok,if it has'nt blown out a seal yet.
This is not that uncommon, and it's not that hard to do or have done <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

All the vacuum modulated 4L60Es do this too. If yours is a stock trans though, you shouldn’t have this issue.
My vacuum modulated 4L60E does this hard shifting into drive only sometimes. I always get the P0748 code because my trans line pressure is now controlled by vacuum.
