700R4 Yoke work in 4L60e?
Here is picture of the 4L60e splined shaft:
(Ignore the dirt and crap...I will be cleaning it up )
Notice that on the 700R4, at the bottom of the pic inside the yoke, that there is one wide slot. On the 4L60e, the splines are all small, no wide slot.
Now the drage is, that if I have to get one for a 4L60e, and it is longer, then I'll have to have my driveshaft shortented.
Bummer.

Are you saying then that 2 of those splines fit in the wide slot?
I had thought maybe that was the case, but I'm having difficulty putting the shaft in. But maybe I'm just not getting it aligned up good. (I'm fighting an X Member in the convertible).
If that's the case, I'll proceed, but I want to be sure as I don't want to mess up the splines trying to get the wrong yoke on.

LT-x7 and 8a8mfh: thanks for yoru useful replies. I'll get get it put on.
Now, I have a new question. Apparently the mounting of the LS1 is somewhat forward as it realates to the transmission, and the yoke does not go as far into the transmission as it did when I had the 350 and 700R4. This based on teh length of the drive shaft, and once I mount it up to the yoke on the rear end.
Check out the pic to see how much of the yoke is outside of the tranny. I'd say I have about half, or maybe a little more, of what could go into the tranny. Anyone think that's a problem?
Based on the rust line, you can tell how much less is going in than did on the 700R4.

You're right, it's not a basic trans swap. I'm putting a 2004 Corvette LS1 and a 4L60e into a 1956 Chevrolet convertible. The tranny is the same lenght, etc, as the 700R4, but the engine being different from teh 350, has to sit forward more, which brings the transmission forward.
Sigh...this has been an expensive project. Fun. But expensive.
