strange tc problem???

strange tc problem??? hi all, im lookin for advise.
2000 c5 a4, new built trans (200mi on it), yank 2800.
finished install saturday, everything was perfect. really happy.
shifting is perfect, temps good, tc locking up at 45 or so. felt really solid.
this morning on the hwy heading to work, 60mph, out of nowhere the tc isnt locking up, u can feel it trying but still no lock up.
came home, lifted the car checked fluid, its fine. let it cool all way down. (150*), went for another cruz to test and its not locking up.
new trans has seen 3k rpms yet, been babying it, breakin stuff.
no codes, no cel, nothing out of the ordinary. im stumped.
please advise.
