shifting problem?please help!!
shifting problem?please help!! well went out tonight and ran a friend of mines ss and as i get on it the car starts hitting the rev limiter hard then i slow down and let the car cool off and try to get on it again. the car then starts shifting into 2nd then back to 1st and then back into 2nd and as i go into 3rd it hits the rev limiter again. me bounceing off the limiter has happened before but no where near as bad. i'm thinking one of 2 things may be wrong one the trannys fucked or that maybe my maf took a crap cause the car has been running rich and the idle has been rough to the point where i watch my tach go from 600 to 500 and back to 6 and some times to 400. anyone have a similiar problem at all and if so how can i fix this? thank you in advance.
update i changed out the speed sensor and found a split hose on my cooler and changed that now 2nd gear is working fine but 3rd is still bounceing off the rev limiter? anone at all have any ideas on what could still be wrong?
