th400 is in!! why is there lag going to second gear??

well when i go from first to second at WOT there is a weird lag that makes the car bumerang into 3rd gear does anyone know anything about this? thanks!

sounds like a stacked shift is the governor sticking and is the vac modualtor adjusted right

he has a manual transbrake valvebody. it does not use a modulator or governor.

my car did the same thing first time out...when I put the brake in it, I checked the clutch pack clearences and they were a little loose. I tightened the clearences up and the problem went away for me. but it could be something different in your instance.
