Okay just happened lastnight, was running a 02' z06 hung by his door from 15-75mph. anyways on the second run, at the top of second around 6,000 Im a "auto". tranny started slipping. limped into gas station. here is what I found out, full of fluid. no burning smell. slips in all gears, will mover forward and rev. just slipping badly. didn't seem to lose any gears. Only thing I can think of is I put in a used 2800 stall 4 months ago.. should of went new. anyways can it be the stall went out all at once? or maybe the pump in the tranny went out? I hope the tranny isn't shot and maybe just the pump replaced. any ideas?

Just don't want to spend money on a stall if it dosent need it..

I do have a 400 turbo w/3800 stall I guess I can have it put in, how much trouble will it be to swap, I dont have the 4L60E, mine is a 93.. so pretty much a 700r4 in it now, will stock shifter work and other things hook up. I know I will prob. have to have my driveshaft modified, or a new one built...
just hate the idea of no overdrive, because I do a lot of street driving..

well does it slip only when you lay in the throttle hard or just giving it any gas? bc mine did the same thing but only when i layed into it. but my tranny needs to be rebuilt which might be your same problem the tranny rebuild kit from TCI only costs bout $350 for a pro racing kit

Well do you have the bottle on your car? and how many miles are on the car? and has the tranny ever been rebuilt?
