Default cross member when converting to a th400

ive heard that you can use a 6 speed cross member from like a lt1 , has anyone tried it and did it work..i dont need the torque arm bracket as my bracket is welded to the frame ties and subframe, so i just need a crossmember by itself, will that work?

I think you should just buy the Yank crossmember. It is great and works flawless.

we make a crossmember for the TH400 conversion that comes with or with out the Torque arm mount
http://www.converter.cc/drivetrain.htm
You will have to rework the stock 6 speed one to get the correct engine angle for use with the TH400

Spohn sells the spacer needed to use with a stock 6 speed crossmember... but I can't see spending even that for something that easy to space on your own.
