Bad wheelhop after Y3000 install...LCA time?
Hello everyone!
I am new to this site. I have been a member of LS1.com for a while...and it was recommended to me that if I am looking for any REAL tech advise that I come here.
So I installed a Yank Y3000 last month. I am very pleased with the results, but now I am getting some wicked wheel hop from a stop. Im talking jaw rattling/hatch shaking hop. I am on street tires...dont know if that makes a difference.
So Is it time for new lower control arms? Is there anything else I can do? Do these control arms work? I was looking at BMR maybe. Any suggestions? Would drag radials help? I'd think they'd make it worse, but what do I know.
Thanks for the help,
Paul

LCAs are definately a GOOD start. Possibly a set of LCA relocation brackets would help as well...is the car lowered any?
The car is not lowered at all.
Are the different brands any different? Boxed or tubular? Adjustable?
Help me out here with what to buy.
thanks,
Paul

rigidity is the key..any of the arms should be fine
nice and cheap (what I run) are the Lakewood boxed LCAs (from Jegs)
or you can go adj (I just ordered) from spohn...I'm doing this to help center my tires in the wheel wells better for my 28" slicks
but in reality a LCA is a LCA is a LCA in my book <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Thanks Fireball,
A few more ?'s... Would a torque arm be a better investment? Is this hop caused by increased torque from the converter? Would drag radial help/hurt/or be indifferent to this problem
Im ordering LCA's today.
