Bad vibration after Ram install.
Hi yall! This is my first post here, but I have been reading on the site since it opened.
My problem is as stated. I just installed a Ram 402/6130 combo and have a nasty vibration. It is the worst around 1200 RPM, but you can pretty much always feel it. This motor is internally balanced right? So, even if I did manage to get the flywheel on wrong it shouldn't make any difference. It stays the same when the pedal is depressed, so that tells me that it is in the PP.
Anyone else have this problem? Any numbers for Ram that I can call?
TIA,
Jonathan

If I were you I would contact Mike @ Rapid Motorsports. www.rapidmotorsports.com . He installs the Rams and recommends them to his customers. He installed mine and I don't have any problems. It holds good enough to smoke my 315s to 3rd gear.

You should of noticed 7 holes in the FW, the "extra" one between holes should be lined up the the "extra" hole on the motor. I would correct this problem ASAP!

if it shakes with the pedal in, then its definitely the flywheel.
line up the holes as said above
also.. where did you get the flywheel from? a rare few have weight in the non threaded holes on the perimiter for balancing as well.

I was just joking about the flywheel as I know that it only goes on one way. My extra hole in the flywheel is not filled.
I just pulled the trans out, and it is definitly the pressure plate. I don't see anything wrong with, not even any small weights or holes to balance it at all.
Anybody know a number to call Ram? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
