ran a few times around the block and added fluid as needed. let if run for about an hour and the light came on.
whan can i check before i can get ahold of a scan tool?
BTW: it is in a 01 Z and it cam out of a 99 TA with 2k miles on it.

your best bet is to find someone local and use the atap and scan the ses light.
i got a cheap hand held from advanced auto jsut to keep in car and read and delete ses lights. I think its was 100 bucks or so
if you can get atap, u may need it later on!

well went to a friends shop and found pout it was a misfire code. cleared it out and now i guess i can wait and see. the car runs fine and the driveablity is great.
EXACT same situation here. Basically, your idle drops too low after the converter install and it causes P0300 misfire codes. I had a similar post you can read here.P0300
I sent my PCM into MTI to raise the idle and delete the P0300 code and the car idles a LOT better and no more SES. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
