A TH400 alone holds 6 quarts. Now add in what the TC (different TC's hold different amounts) holds along with the cooler and lines. I'd say your application would be closer to 9-10 quarts. Just use your dip stick . No time for guessing on this...

On fluid, I use B&M trickshift (non synthetic) and works great for me.

the lokar dipstick sucks. it doesnt show a definite level of luid it is very sloppy looking on the dipstick an there really isnt any markings as far as full or low...just a very small marked area that im a ssume is the operating area, but its so small and the dipstick is inaccurate.

My th350 is said to hold about 9 to 12. Before we ran it, we put about 4 or 5 quarts in just to be safe that we wouldn't mess it up. Then we fired it and added as we needed. I'd say get a different dipstick if you can't read that one very well. I would hate to hear of you messing something up just because of that.

He doesn't have a deep pan so I think 11.5 quarts would be to much. Mine holds 10.5 quarts with a 1 extra quart deep pan. again different TC's and coolers it's gonna be different amounts of fluid. I also run the mad man dipstick which is also NHRA legal (Lockar isn't) as it has a locking mechanism on it like the stocker does.

the guy from precision industries said the converter doesnt take quarts of fluid. just enough to lubricate.... so much for getting an answer from them on the converter.

advandced auto called b&m and they said 3 for the pan 6 for the converter and 1 for the cooler. so we'll see.
