Default converter lock up after cam heads swap

just did my cam and head swap on the 2002 ss, the converter locked when i started driving it and now wont lock. i havent tuned the car yet and the cam is a 600 lift. i know i have to tune it but the converter now is not locking up. it did for a day or so say 20 miles tops and no just wont lock . i reset the computer and it still wont lock. any one have an idea or similar experience. thank

Get it tuned and have your tuner look for misfire codes, if so then that is why it is probably not locking up. You have an agressive cam for the stock tune, which will give the ECM false misfire idling. If misfires are detected, the ECM prevents the TCC from applying to prevent damage to the engine.

Bingo. The computer will detect multiple cylinder misfires with a large camshaft.

I had the same problem after my cam install,got it tuned and it's fine now.
