Default C5 shifter in a '99 TA?

I am not sure if this is in the right section (I'm sure it will be moved if it isn't) but does anyone know if a shifter from a C5 Corvette will fit in a 1999 Trans Am? Both are automatics.

I hate the look and feel of the stock TA shifter and like the boot and **** on the 'Vettes so I was thinking of swapping if it can be done.

Anyone?

No! Both shifter assy are not interchangeable. The F-Body shifter assy sit on a "frame", where as the C5 shifter assy sits below the floor pans and has a different mechanism to actuate the transmission.

The ***** may be interchaneable though.
