Drive or Overdrive?

That is a debatable question there are some advanatges to both and downsides to,
In overdrive position the line presure tends to be more consistant ,But all the stress if put on the input sprag which while not so much as with the 700r4 is considered a weak link .
In the drive position the line presure rises slightly along with the shift points , However the overun clutch is on helping to support the sprag in first during nthe launch , it then goes off duing second and comes back on during 3rd , However several people have noted a large presure drop on the 2-3 shift in the d position which may contribute to 3-4 clutch failure,
Personally I prefer d if the shifts are timed correctly and the 2-3 shift feels good ,

Too much conflicting info over all this lately. Frankly I don't think it makes much difference. Do whatever feels right at the time. LOL.
