wont accelerate unless you push down on the pedal more? is the gas pedal messed up? hi, my friends a4 '00 ws6 trans am wont accelerate unless you push down more on the gas pedal. like when he taps it - nothing, when he pushes down a little - nothing, but when you push down closer to the halfway mark it accelerates. guys have any idea why that is? or how to get back it back to work properly again? like neW? it only has 17,000 miles on her. thanks

With the engine shut off have someone push down on the gas pedal. You can observe the throttle operation under the hood. See if the throttle opens completely and the throttle should open as soon as the gas pedal is depressed. If you do have a problem check the pin holding the gas pedal in place on the brake pedal assembly. If the clip is off, the pin can back out reducing the throttle cable travel to your throttle body.
