Default Trans Cooler question

how high of a stall can I get without needing to get a trans cooler as well? the shops i've talked to said i'd blow my transmission pretty quick if I don't get a cooler of some sort. obviously i'll need to if i'm getting a 4,000 stall, but with a 3k or 3,200 converter is it still safe to go without one? thanks.

I would say that no matter what size stall you get you're going to want to get a cooler. I mean why not spend the $60, just for the insurance?

IMO you need one even with the stock converter..... unless you dont drive your car hard...ever.

with ANY stall, even a baby stall, you should have one.

It was one of the first mods I did to my car, long before the TC, headers, cam...cheap insurance to keep your drivetrain healthy
