Default Best going deals on a TH400????

Who has the best deal on a fully built 400 with all the goodies? I'm leaning towards the TCI full race TH400.

Anyone else know of some good prices????

TH400s are very stout in stock form, so nearly any competent tranny shop can build you one that will hold a lot of HP. It is also a lot easier to have a tranny built locally, especially if you ever have a problem. No point trying to reinvent the wheel when a 400 comes plenty stout. IMHO, by the time you are fast enough to need someone to trick out a 400 it's time to step up to a glide. Spend all the extra money saved on shipping and "brand name trannies" and get the best converter for you combo. Don't skimp out there. All this is my opinion so don't flame me too harshly.

when it comes to TH400, 350, glide, it really doesnt matter. its a very easy and simple tranny. i would DEFINATLY look to a local shop, esp if you have any issues with it.

go talk to local drag racers. i wouldnt spend more than 1200 on a th400 personally.

I've got a guy locally that built my T56. He is very good at them and I'm sure the 400's and 350's.

With a core and me buying the RVMB with T-brake and him building it with all of his upgraded parts, bands and all. It's looking like about 1K.

Not including a covrt, cooler and shifter.

For about another 300 I could get the TCI race 400.

Do they sell to the general public? Or do I need to look into a vendor?

3.23's in a 10 bolt im at 2800 rpms at 65 3.73 with a 275/40 tire would probably put you around 3200-3400. mustangsunlimited.com has an accurate calc for that

you'll be looking at 2600rpm doing 70 mph with that set up. I have the same
my 2kss has 19500 miles.

How big of stall are you running SEBSS. I have a good hookup on the t400 and just waiting for the funds.

My car with TH400 and 3.73s in the 10 bolt was at 3100 RPM at 60 MPH. 26 inch diameter tire.

I was thinking of useing my 4.10's. But it sounds like that is going to be bad for highway use. But I don't ever go in any road trips with it. Hmmm.
