Default Torque Converter Lock-up Processor?

I was thinking, since the ability exists to create a lock-up switch, why can't someone make a device like a maft that allows you to set what rpm (under your alloted stall) to lock-up the converter. This would be a great thing to have and safer I think than just running around with a lock-up switch on. You could set it like 1200-1400rpm like factory TC locks up to use on your daily driver and have a 4400 stall at the track.

I am not an expert though, I think this is possible and as far as I know it wouldn't cause any problems to the stall converter.

Anyways anyone else thought of this?

Lock-up speed and stall speed are basically unrelated. A YTP 4400 locks-up just like stock, no modifications required.

LS1 Edit allows you control lock-up as a function of throttle and speed.
