Well instead of buying a high $$$ crossmember when I changed from 4l60e to TH400, I knew there had to be a better way.
Modify the stock one. After taking a measurement with the tranny in the car. I saw that the stock A4 crossmember was only 2" off. No problem.

Simply moved the mount pad back 2" and layed a piece of plate down to weld it to. A whopping 1 hour of work.

Oh and BTW, I just got through hooking up my stock shifter. This is the one people said wouldn't work. Sure it doesn't go to "1", but it works fine. Works just like it did with the 4l60e.

The smack talk has ALWAYS been good with Phillip. I call him on the Nextel radio from time to time to warn him of the car being finished and him gettin his *** smacked again.
Car goes to Vic today to go on his rack to have Driveline come over and measure for my driveshaft and he is gonna set the pinion angle for me and check my alignment too. Other than that, she's ready to go.
BTW, I heard that Bruces old Firebird went 10.2 @131. John Lopez bought the car. Course you can't believe much of what comes from Lopez's mouth.
