I will tell you from personal knowlege Rock-On just got in over their head. Dave is a really nice and very knowlegable guy that and built awesome transmissions in the beginning, but the workload got too heavy for his small shop. A few other things happened also that has caused them to go down hill. Like Dave having health problems, him not being there to oversee everything going on, and people not sending him back cores.
I'm not defending Rock-On, but I hate to see them get totally slammed. I too have waited 5 months for a replacement for mine. I wish all of you luck and hopefully Dave will take care of you soon.

Actually we do at times when needed send parts and set up options for people , of course everything has to be preaproved through us but we would never tell someone to go do this or that and it not work and then say oh well, Of course you do have to be able to contact to ask I guess also , But for us thats never a probelm either because im here just dial phone ussually Ill answer right then but if im on another line ussually you will get a call back before i even listen to your message , Thats how we set up , customers should never have to call over and over to get someone ,

That sucks guys..When I ordered my Trans from the Toy Shop here in Pomona Calif, It took 2 weeks to get and only because he didn't have a core..To wait 5 months is just INSANE...Heads would be rolling about now, just in time for Halloween..How many miles are on that slipping trans? I hope things work out, but you spent that money on the trans, People are waiting 5 months & you can't send yours back because you will never see it again. I feel for you guys.

i dont even think i'm gonna put my rock-on in my car, turns out it was fine but i opted to put my used one back in. i'd rather sell the rock-on and get something with a "real" warranty from somebody who will be able to honor the warranty even if i take a loss on the sale of the built one...0 miles on it by the way...
