Default 4k stall really only 3k

I bought a th350 and a 4k stall from redneck performance, and so far eveything seems good. My only problem is that when I try to stall the motor it only goes to about 3k before the rear tires start to break. Is this because Im not stalling with the tranny brake or is it a 3k stall? Im a newb when it comes to autos.

A 4000 stall will not brake stall to 4000rpm. It should flash up to 4000 rpm when hammering it to the floor on a launch. You will likely only see 2800-3200 rpm when footbraking it before the tires cut loose or it pushes the car forward.

You are good to go.

My PT4200 only brake stalled to 3000rpm and my current converter brake stalls to only 2800, but flashes to 4700 rpm. Every car is different to some degree, but it sounds like yours is on track.

Good luck!
