4L60E help...
I had a TH400 do that to me once, and it leaked fluid all over the floor when I started the motor for the first time. I ended up having to remove it from the car and have the front pump replaced. (It was a freshly rebuilt transmission as well.)
Trust me, a TH400 in a 71' SS 454 Chevelle is a lot easier to pull out than a 4L60E in my 2000 Z28. That said, I want to be 130% sure this thing is right before I stick it in the car.
