YANK torque thruster 3000 i was thinking about getting this converter. do you guys have any suggestions or comments about it. should i just spent the extra couple bucks and get an SY3500 or ST3500???? please help me out! thanks.
Re: YANK torque thruster 3000 If you have 2.73 gears, the TT3000 with 3.0 STR is an excellent choice. For 3.23s or higher go with the SY 3500 (mainly street) or ST 3500 (street/strip with nittos).
If you have never driven a converter before, don't plan to race, and have 3.23s, a Yank 3000 or SLP 3300 would be good daily driver choices too.
Do not buy the TT3000 with the 2.5 STR

Re: YANK torque thruster 3000 thanks ragtop! i have 3.23 gears and do plan on some racing (mostly steet) and i have a set of nittos on there now. i've driven with a converter before, but that was with a HEAVILY modded mustang....i didn't know if there would be a huge difference in converters. i'm going to call about the ST3500. i hope it'll work out good.
Re: YANK torque thruster 3000 For street racing, I really like the SY 3500. It has a low STR which makes it easy to learn to launch hard on the street with nittos running 26 - 28lbs. Perfect for stoplight racing a mustang that revs on you while waiting for the light to change. It will also dead hook with heated nittos if your street races are not chance meetings <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
The ST has a 2.5 STR and will take a little more practice for stoplight racing. It can be dead hooked with heated nittos at lower pressures.
Both converters will help you from a roll too.
