ST3800 Is Out......PYE3600 Is In.....

I pulled it out and put in a PYE3600 I bought used and it works perfect. Locks up fast over 40 MPH, and stays locked up. No lock up chatter either. So, if it was my line pressure, cam causing misfires, or all the other reasons I was given for the problems, apparently the PYE3500 doesn't care. I still say the ST series of Yanks is a marginal design.
40mph? that seems kinda high, when my car is fully warmed up my PT4400 locks up at 29mph. Do you drive in OD?
later,
Steve
I'm not too surprised that it looks up easier; as pointed out it is a larger diameter converter and that requires less pressure. I'm a little surprised that the unlocking issue hasn't come back, but I certainly hope you're in the clear.
